I changed mine, no tools needed, pull off the head unit surround which also has the part below the start/stop button, just get your fingers under the edge and pull it off. Then stick your finger up underneath the start/stop switch and pop it out towards you... Unplug it and swap it for the new one. Takes about a minute.... Pete

I found removing the 2 screws around the speedo and partially removing that helped with removal. There is one bottom left and another at the top above the clear plastic section thats under a plastic cover |

Thanks guys! I was ready to pull out the instrument surround with the chrome trim. This sounds much easier! Mike |

I replaced mine a couple of years ago. I can't remember how exactly, but I know I didn't remove the instrument cluster. Kev

I got the switch out thru the front but had to virtually break all the tabs on it, then the new one popped right in. Probably not a recommended replacement procedure but I dod not want to take the instrument cluster out. |

Hi, I replaced my broken button as it had bits missing out of the middle. You can replace the whole unit but you can have issues with the car not recognising the new switch as it has a PCB inside that the car reads not always an issue but still. The unit is held in with 3 clips on a L322 and just levers out around the edges (protect the soft leather on the dash with a cloth under your lever so as not to damage it). You can buy the actual replacement button for less than £5 off eBay, as opposed to the whole switch for £20. I did a few photos of stripping it down if anyone is interested. Re-assembly is just a case of popping in the button and opposite of above. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Ipanema sand

I removed the head unit trim and put my finger behind the start/stop button to push it out but it will not budge! Any tips so I don't have to remove the instrument cluster surround..? 2017 Range Rover Vogue V6 Diesel

All done. I didn't like removing the instrument surround at all but until I removed the button holder there was no way I could remove the switch. So definitely not a quick job but I guess every car is different. Just a sharp intake of breath required a you do the disassembly and hope it all clicks back together! Not hard work at all just a high potential to damage trim and attachments! 2017 Range Rover Vogue V6 Diesel
