Are you thinking of purchasing a new converter, or having yours remanufactured? For the latter I would suggest you only use a ZF/Sachs specialist such as JPAT (https://www.jpat.co.uk/torque-converter-remanfacture.html) or Sussex Autos (https://www.sussexautos.com/pages/torque-converters). The lock-up clutch is ‘captive’ and it is a highly specialised job to remove the retaining weld and the reweld it back in exactly the right position.
