What is the smallest wheel that will fit 2013 L405?

Long time member with no posts.Joined in 2011. Hard to believe...lol. Hoping for some insight.
Had and sold different model RR and then was away to Benz for a while. am back now. Picking up a 2013 L405 this week.

I must admit that I find the oversized steering wheel in the L405 rather uncomfortable....it's just too BIG.
I'm considering the option of swapping it out with a steering wheel from an L494 model....I believe it's just about an inch smaller in diameter. From what I gather, this should be a straightforward plug-and-play replacement without requiring any modifications. However, I still think the L494 steering wheel might be a bit too large for my liking.

I prefer a smaller, thicker, sportier steering wheel. So, aside from the possibility of having a custom modification shop wrap the L494 steering wheel to make it thicker, I'm wondering if there are any other smaller, plug-and-play steering wheels from any other models that would be compatible with the L405?

Thanks

I've not heard of anyone doing that.

There's a video on this thread that shows how to change the wheel which may be helpful.

Apparently a Velar one fits, not sure if it's total plug and play or if it's smaller than a fatty though... Pete

Hey

I see a few of these Discovery Steering wheels on eBay with the new steering control. They look similar to the L405 but I know they are smaller in size.
Wondering if it will fit a L405. Will I need a harness to make the new steering controls work?

Updating this Just in case anyone embarks on same quest as me.
I was able to source a L494 steering wheel on eBay for less than $100.
I very much prefer it to the OEM L405 steering wheel. And it’s a bit smaller.
The swap was seamless. Feels sportier and looks better in my opinion.
Am also getting it wrapped sometime next week and will post that pic also.
