Must be some fancy option - I've towed all sorts with mine & it's never asked me anything. Just plug the electrics in and it knows there's a trailer there. |

I think it's part of the surround cameras, mine has reverse assist when towing but I've never used it and it's never done anything when I plug it in apart from turning off the rear sensors...

Mine's a MY17, but always asks me if I've attached a trailer when I have. Then it tries to go into the tow assist s/w which really needs the reflectors stuck on your trailer ... and they don't fit on my car trailer (works better with the plant trailer). Anyway since none of us really need trailer assist its easier to just click yes then exit from the subsequent screen. Mine's never gone into limp mode following that sequence. Mike - MPx

Turned out to be a full DPF, now sorted but cracked alloy this week, deep joy.....
