2012 TDV8 4.4 Oil pump woes

Hi

Had a leak from my oil pump ( typical front right lower engine block area - tray catches most of it before it gets on the drive ). Not excessive but got on the belts etc. Cars done just 72k so decided to get a new OE pump / gaskets fitted. Valley and rear remain dry .

friendly knowledgable LR main dealer tech explained that this is not uncommon and that some pump drive shafts move in an eliptical fashion ( the throw out is hardly measureable when cold) and after a while the leak will return if that's the underlying cause. New to me. He said that some LR dealers will do the job (£££££££££) but wont warranty it for three weeks / 500 miles. If it comes back inside those limits - no warranty.

Anyways I decided to get it done but by a local indy. Got an OE pump and other bits n belts . Within a few weeks, yes, ******* leak started again. Any ideas out there? But this time it seems more focussed and hasn't got on the belts .

Thanks
