Deployable step issue

Hi all

After a recent service the drivers side step comes out when locked? Any ideas why or how to fix it? 2010 defender utility

First step is to thoroughly lubricate all the pivot points on both the front & back brackets, as if there’s any resistance when it’s retracting, the step will deploy as a safety measure.

I use white grease in a spray can using a long straw to direct it right into all the joints. Jonathan
