Deployable towbar brackets

I have now available parts not available from Land Rover parts C&D.
All made from Land Rover’s data so identical to factory.

Well they fit fine as expected, not easy with it already fitted but they line up perfectly.
So made to order in pairs.

Seems to be the norm for people to fit the towbar without these which seems very risky imo. All the aftermarket towbars all include this attachment point too so it must be doing something!!

Yes now it’s bolted up you can clearly see why it’s there.

Got mine last week and put them on this weekend. Can't tell them apart from the OEM ones and much happier from a towing perspective that it's all fitted properly Thumbs Up

I'm feeling dumb..... who needs these ?

The title says 'deployable' but the second picture seems to show the removable tow bar.

Are you saying that the factory deployable bars are missing a component that is fitted to the removable ones ?

I'm confused....... Confused

Nearly all the towbar designs I've seen need these parts but do your research.

When fitting the towbar there's the towbar unit itself that bolts to the rear behind the bumper and it can be deployable or removable. (A)

Then there's a large rectangular U shaped bit that goes under the car and bolts to the boot floor. (B) this can still be bought new for around £100

Finally there's these 2 pieces that bolt to the U shapes piece and tie it further into the boot floor/ chassis rail area

It's a standard part fitted with all genuine towbars but it can't be bought from range rover which was incredibly annoying until someone zenman fabricated some.

When you buy a towbar second hand these bits are nearly always missing (like the one for sale on for forum right now) you can fit the towbar without them but you are then missing structural connections to the car body from the towbar which was a risk I wasn't willing to take.

Below is the picture from the OEM install guide.

Thanks for clarifying.

Mines a factory fitted deployable, so sounds like I'm OK, but now understand the value of these for others Thumbs Up

Only Metal Fab? Any chance you would have the file for the female connector on the bottom of the Spinny knob gear selector for a 16 L405?
