Well I never, We Buy Any Car

Righto, been out shopping for a new to me car today. Budget of around early 30's. After 4 years of ownership, the 405 has just clocked over 91000 miles and after our last holiday, I've no real need of the space anymore.

Anyway, visited a couple of places and been online re P/X. One place offered me 18000 as P/X price!!!!!!! Even Dick Turpin wore a mask.

Price seemed to be around the £22000.

So, decided to try WBAC, despite all the horror stories. What a pleasant surprise. They looked at the car and offered £23600. Waaaay more than any of the P/X offers.

Hmmmmmmmmm.

That's amazing, they usually try to beat you down when they turn up, give you a reasonable price on line then knock money off on inspection...

Seems like you had a result... Thumbs Up Pete

Pretty sure Autotrader gave me a guide of £26000. Quick squint at private adds suggests this is probably about right for a quick sale (if I decide to part with it, drove home thinking what a great car).

Hi,

we sold our last car to wbac nearly 2 years ago (it was just under 2 years old) at a better price then anywhere else or p/ex value which we were already happy with and if you put the mileage in online at what it will be when you turn up at their place,
we where not knocked anything and the transaction was very easy.

wbac allow Nothing for any extras so if you have added any when supplied new there worth Nowt to the value.

we will be trying the other online buying places at our next change Question

Thumbs Up

I got a fantastic price from WBAC for my previous Amarok. 5k above any trade in price from LR and independents. Can’t fault them, and it was the LR main dealer salesman who put the idea to me. Didn’t end up buying from him though.

I let wbac value my supercharged once a month.
It’s all based on what dross rolls through the auction block. During Covid it was over 10k for a (then) 15 year old car.
