Hello all.

My 07 3.6 TDV8 is starting to show some signs of inside edge tyre wear, and I'm contemplating fitting PU bushes to the arms to keep it all ship shape and Bristol fashion for years to come.

I understand that it's a big car, and that it will go through bushes, but I'm quite happy to spend the time and money doing the job right.

I'm new to the L322, I'm far from new to cars though, and I've used PU bushes in the past with great results on far smaller, lighter and sportier cars, and I do understand that the bushes will by their nature be a bit more harsh, transmit a bit more noise, but also as a general rule, at least in the applications I've used, they're very much more likely to keep in alignment longer, prevent tyre wear and keep in generally better order.

Has anyone got any real world experience of fitting PU bushings to the suspension on these?, what was your experience?

PU bushings are, IMHO, a total waste of money, if you want to do the job properly and not do it again in short order then buy genuine parts...

JLR spent a fortune in NVH testing to establish the best material... and it's not PU....!! Pete

Fully agree with the above, if you want to destroy the ride quality, fit PU bushes. Don't fit cheap aftermarket 'OEM spec. ' ones either. Go for genuine or OEM, they'll last well (if fitted correctly) and perform well.

As above, the query would probably be more applicable to RR sport owners, maybe try that forum ?

Mines not a 320, it's a 322..

Anyway I've just got off the phone to Marshall Jaguar Land Rover in Melton Mowbray (Peterborough didn't answer the phone) and got all 4 of the rear "knuckle" bushes ordered.
