german emissions stickers

can anyone recommend a web site where i can purchase a german environmental emissions sticker.

i've found various sites that charge from around 14 euros upwards but as far as i know the stickers cost 7 euros..

apparently these stickers can also be bought at TUV shops? but i would like to get things sorted before i go..

planning to visit cologne for the xmas markets so some help would be appreciated.. ... - .- -.

Perhaps one of our obliging German members could send you one in the post ??

Not wanting to take your post off topic, but you should consider one of my favourite routes to get there.
Go down the Moselle valley via Bernkastle Kues and Cochem.
You won’t find it to much of a detour, but will enjoy every Km.

https://www.berlin.de/labo/mobilitaet/kfz-...595.en.php

I've used this site for the last 5 that I've purchased for various vehicles. (including my current SDV8 405)

I can also wholeheartedly recommend Köln we been a number of times - the market at the cathedral is lovely... (as is the food/beer at Gaffel am Dom) Andrew.

thats a site i didnt find, thanks Andrew..

you might clarify if i need a green sticker or a blue one for my euro 6 ..most sites give me the impression i need a green one but the blue sticker keeps popping up..
and i agree koln is a lovely place, we've been several times and we enjoy the pirate gathering near the lindt chocolate attraction.

@Mike, i fear the journey wont be a scenic drive but a direct quick run. ... - .- -.

My 2015 (2016MY) SDV8 has a green sticker, from what I can see here: https://www.umwelt-plakette.de/en/ the Blue stickers would be for BEV or a PHEV with a range of at least 40km:

Quote:
In order to receive an E sticker, the vehicle must be operated purely electrically or, in the case of plug-in hybrids, the purely electrical range of 40 kilometres must be maintained. Alternatively, CO2 emissions can also be used as a criterion. This may not exceed 50g CO2 per kilometre. In principle, all vehicles must be registered abroad.
 Andrew.

No worries Stan,

All the ones I've had are/were stamped Berlin and as far as I know, you're good country wide - it's just the regional office where the sticker is issued from.

I guess it's a bit like the old days on Tax Discs where the stamp had the location of the issuing post office. Andrew.
