No attachments - can you write down the codes as it's probably due to being a first time poster. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

P040D is an EGT sensor on passenger side manifold (exhaust) - very common. Might be related.

Maybe clean the MAP too whilst in there. It's the one in the top of the intake "doughnut" on top of the engine.

Thanks for the information, I have just been out and got some tools and some brake cleaner, the MAF was utterly filthy, black with oily soot, I have thoroughly cleaned it, however does this point to other issues, surely it shouldn't get utterly caked? Should I try a test drive? Would the MAF issue cause DPF sensor issues? Thank you very much for the information so far!! EDIT: I may be getting confused, the MAP was utterly caked, the MAFs were clean as a whistle. I have cleaned the ones below. [/img] |

MAP gets clogged and needs cleaning every few 1000 miles as a service routine as it's catching EGR recirculation. MAF's should be clean. I think you are looking at peripheral issues and need to check the DPF differential pressure sensor - wiring and pipes. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Understood, makes sense, I will clean the MAP regularly from now on (probably replace it too, it was utterly encrusted), I'm going to run it to the local garage as it needs fuel, I'll run diagnostics on it again on my return and see what faults remain, I'll then organise recovery for tomorrow if no better.

When I ran diagnostics this AM it allowed me to delete them, but this afternoon when it came up with different errors it won't allow me, I guess because it deems them serious... Unfortunately as with everything in life including OBD scanners you get what you pay for, but to be fair it was only £45... |

No errors on the dash and it drives normally now. I will invest in the GAP IID tool in time, watched Sam's Motor and Machine review of OBD tools on YouTube and the benefits are clear, excuse the pun! |

Gap IID tool in your L322 - more important than a spare tyre, jack, booster pack or AA/RAC membership. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
