Touch screen restarting every few seconds

Since the start of the week the whole AV system keeps restarting. The screen goes blank then switches off completely, the green LR splash screen comes on then it's back to normal, only to do the same thing 10 seconds later, and again, and again etc

Any ideas of what I can do? It's booked to go back to the dealer next weekend but I wondered if anyone else had seen this and could offer a suggestion?

Thanks in advance,

Sounds like you have damp in the back, have you checked to see if you have any water in the spare wheel well, or put your hand all around the nav unit ect to see if theres any water there.. thats where i would start.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

I have had this problem twice it restarted and went to some crappy radio station. Check the fuse in the glovebox for the radio etc - its either 19 or 49. Pull it out, shut doors and lock. Leave 5 mins, unlock and put it back in. Start car. It worked for me cant lose anything by trying it. Smile

Checked it - its number 49 2006 MY Autobiography. With 'toys'

Taking the fuse out did the trick - thanks for the advice! '07 Supercharged in black with drug dealer tinted windows

Thanks Gents for posting this up.
I had exactly the same scenario, screen cycling through from splash to CD, to black every ten seconds or so.

Pulling the fuse as described sorted it.
This may be worthy of addition to a sticky?

I'm surprised these cars don't come with a CTRL+ALT+DEL button when one considers how many things need a hard reset. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
