[No Longer For Sale] FFRR L322 Vogue SE 3.6TDV8 | |
Hi All
Reggie the Range Rover is For Sale.
I haven't posted here enough to qualify for a free ad so will happily pay or donate as appropriate.
The car is a January 2007 registered, 64,000 mile fullest service and maintenance history example.
Santorini Black with black leather heated/cooled seats. Side steps and side mouldings.
Owned by my friend and known by me since day one. (He was the first and I am the second owner)
Barely used, always garaged, properly maintained, not crashed, nor used for towing nor taken off-road.
No pets, smoking, eating, children etc. I don't know what a new one would smell like, but probably like this!
Has Venture Cam (whatever that is) but never used.
Same for the rear entertainment. Headphones are still in their cases, never used (see below)
Has FBH with remote. Never used. I don't know how to operate it. Best to assume it needs attention through lack of use.
History highlights include: New EGR valves in 2018, and in 2019 the head unit was upgraded to an Alpine Unit (with a mighty sound upgrade) so improved sat nav, phone, CarPlay etc etc (I don't understand all that stuff so forgive me...)
Upgrade cost close to £5,000. However not all the RR head unit features are connected (adjustment of analogue clock and consumption displays, for example)
There seems to be an option to run rear entertainment from it but I don't know how.
Steering wheel controls for stereo volume, heated steering wheel, cruise control etc all work fine.
I adopted Reggie nearly two years ago and have continued to treat him similarly, if not even better. A full service, minor fixes and so on to start with, including the only paintwork he's ever had which was to fix a large stone chip in the driver's door (courtesy of a stone from a neighbour's strimmer!)
(He had a new rear window when virtually new too - Reggie, not the neighbour!)
A full gearbox service this year and complete new pair of front struts when one of them sprung an airleak.
Tracker was installed when new but I haven't renewed it.
I was the first person to put anything in the boot (a momentous occasion, which I photographed) and a trip to Goodwood for four of us last year was the first time the back seats had been used!
There is no damage but, as you would expect, there are a few minor marks in the paintwork. The car has always been kept clean but never been 'mopped' so scope for improvement there (if you think mopping is OK!)
(and yes, I haven't mentioned rust because there isn't any!)
Basically, Reggie is about as fine a sixteen-year-old FFRR as you're ever likely to come across...
I really love having this car, hence me snapping it up when my friend decided to sell, but I have no use for such a machine (Uni visits to our son were pretty much the only journey we have regularly done with Reggie, he's perfect for that. Uni days are over now)
It is time for someone else to keep him in the way he has become accustomed...
Price is £9,950.
Please PM me here if you are interested in buying this car.
Reggie lives near Marlow and Henley-on-Thames.
He's only ever had two drivers so I will not be allowing test drives but will gladly take genuinely interested prospective buyers for a drive (one at a time - sorry, no multi-person visits)
I have another car so can't consider part exchanges, sorry. This is not an urgent disposal, so I will not be tempted to consider notably lower offers.
This is a private sale. Reggie's new guardian takes on this duty with no undertakings, warranty or assurances from me.
Temp. pictures for now, I will clean and photograph him later this week
(NB: Side view here shows stone chip in driver's door which has now been dealt with)
