OEM Radiator or Land Rover Branded Replacement?

My local indy has quoted me £439+ vat for a Land Rover branded replacement radiator, or £193+ vat for an OEM one.

Will the OEM one be made to, or of a material lesser in quality?

Should I stick to the Land Rover branded for longevity?

Or will there be very little difference between the two?

Many thanks

Ask him to get it from Advanced Factors. Site sponsor. They sell decent OEM stuff. I’m having an Advanced Factors air con condenser rad being fitted this week at local experts www.glenrands.co.uk 👍😎 Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Why not in the middle and get a radiator from the original manufacturer, getting you the genuine thing without the Land Rover mark-up?

Also, I'm assuming this isn't the 2019 5.0 Autobiography. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Hi GaryRR,

Thanks for your reply.

It's actually for a 2007 4.4 Jaguar V8 petrol. The local garage has told me that it's OEM (Original Manufacturer), so maybe you've answered my question. If it genuinely is Original Manufacturer, then that's probably my best bet.

DrRob,

Thank you also for your reply..... Rather annoyingly I used to live in Haslemere, which is literally just down the road from Glenrands. I know live in East Sussex, so while not quite as local, they're not a million miles away, so still very much on my radar Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Do you mind if I ask, who did you speak to down at Glenrands?

Many thanks

Allister

PCC500670 looks like the part.

Sometimes garages say "OEM" but mean "aftermarket", which I'm very wary of.

Original manufacturer may have been Behr, now part of the Mahle Group, found after a bit of searching.

Looks like Vitesse Land Rover have them in stock £193 + VAT (good company, i've ordered from them before). As it's the same price as what you've been quoted, it may well be the part the garage have suggested. Either way, most likely the genuine part for less than half the cost Thumbs Up 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I put a BEHR radiator in my 2004 v8 Petrol and it has been problem free (now on 189,000 miles)

I think the OE supplier (or at least one of them) radiators to LR is Nissens. Kevin
