Replacing oil pressure sender

Hi everyone,

While replacing the engine oil I noticed that the oil pressure sender has a small leak. Not a big deal to replace and it's not too expensive.

But, when the engine is off is the oil level above the sender? Do I need to drain the oil to replace it? I'd hate to unscrew it and have a few quarts of oil spill out on me and the floor Surprised.

Thanks!

To answer my own question, yea, oil will leak out of both the oil pressure and oil temp locations if removed. Not too much came out (maybe a cup?) but it's good to know if anyone else is going to replace either of these sensors.
