RF Receiver

Could someone tell me where the RF Receiver is in the car? 2010 FF.

My car will not respond to the key, I tried both fobs and is still not working.

I think you need to look inside the area of the rear wiper motor etc. to find it. Had a garage replace mine a few weeks ago after key failure. Mind you my problem brought about by low key fob batteries!

Good luck.

It's under the rear spoiler, easy to remove, three 10mm bolts then get a friend to help so you don't scratch the paint...

It looks a lot like an old cassette tape, has a very thin coaxial cable to it.... Thumbs Up Pete

Hi
I looked under the rear spoiler and there is nothing under there, I have also removed the top rear trim
from the tailgate and no receiver there. the two modules are for the TV signal and GPS Antenna Amplifier.

I have also looked under the front courtesy light panel and nothing there either.

Does anyone have a clue where it is hiding

Hi
Did you remove the white centre panel, covering the wiper motor etc? I didn’t do mine but saw it hanging there in the garage when I called in. Let us know how you got on.

Sorry for the late update, I've been away to a wedding. I still haven't found the module, I am going to
Look at both sides in the rear quarter compartments, the pesky thing must be somewhere.

I assume that you're looking for the key receivers, not the radio.
There are several located about the vehicle but there's a spot below the light switch IIRC where the key should be held if it's not generally working.

Edit: Owners manual, starting the engine section shows where to hold the key if the engine won't start.

Yes the key rf receiver, I know about the place to put the
key and it will start, just won't respond to any buttons on both keys so no central locking or anything,

Have you replaced the battery in at least 1 fob?

Yes I renewed both fob batteries with duracells and, the car battery is fully charged.

Just need to find where the RF receiver is to check it out

The owners handbook technical section shows the locations of the keyless start module and the 4 cabin transmitters.
