Engine Oil level monitor system fault

Hi All, 2011 TDV8 WITH 138k Miles.
First warning was engine low on oil. Never looked for oil before so put in a litre. Rechecked and was still showing low.
Put in 1/2 litre more and still showing low. Put another 1/2 litre in and yet again saying low.
Got worried as it never seems to burn oil. 2 days later this shows up. Checked the fuse and all okay there. another 2 days and got the restricted performance.
Thinking oil sensor is gone or car is telling me it has too much oil but how could it, if the sensor cannot read the oil level.
Anyone with the same experience and fix please.

2. It has only happened twice recently but foot on brake and start button pressed.....nothing...Repeat and it starts. Again any ideas? Is it about to throw the starter out of bed ?
Thanks you in advance for any and all help
