Funnel for Power Steering flush?

Hi Everyone,

In the service manual to flush the power steering fluid you need a, "...suitable funnel should have the a capacity of 4 litres and O-ring seal." It also notes, "NOTE: The suitable funnel must be tightly sealed to the power steering fluid reservoir to avoid fluid leakage."

No part number is specified in the manual for this funnel and I can't find it in the "Land Rover Special Service Tools" list nor on the JLR Tooling & Equipment Web Shop (https://jlrequipment.service-solutions.com/).

Has anyone found a suitable funnel for this job? Any suggestions on brand/models or places to look?

Thanks!

"Over thinking?" Maybe, that's why I refer to myself as The Pedantic Mechanic Smile .

I've got plenty of funnels but one that holds that much fluid and seals well to the container is the trick.

I would just suck the fluid out and replace it a couple times. You don't even have to jack it up and crank the steering wheel over and over; just replace it every time you get done driving for a couple days 2006 HSE 4.4 gasser

I believe the service manual said that once you start the engine it'll empty the funnel in about 30 seconds. So I'd have to be pretty quick!

And, having to hold the full 4-liters is I assume the reason for specifying a funnel with an O-ring to seal at the bottom.

Thanks!
