Thanks Stan, no light comes from my inner oval either. As you said previously, the daylight light led’s just go around the edge. Just ordered some LED bulbs. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

Phoenix, I just fitted the LED bulbs from your earlier Amazon link. When I have had a night drive, I’ll report back. Quite an easy job, just a bit of a faff getting the air boxes off. Tried to take the first one off whole, doesn’t work, split them, then it’s ok. Thanks all Bow down 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

Sorry about that, I did mine whilst I was changing the air filters and airbox screws so I didn't think to mention it!

I’m looking at fitting the LED bulbs that Phoenix linked to, but to my L322. Are folk still happy with them?

How does the hi and low beam work with the shutter as the Amazon blurb seems to indicate that the LED bulb has a mode for each…. Not sure is L405 has the same shutter arrangement…..

I fitted the same style of 50W LED D3S globes to my MY12 L322 with no thought whatsoever of refitting the HID globes.

i bought these much cheaper bulbs Mark and they still work ok,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195398486970

the leds bulbs work in the same way as the xenon ones...the L322 and the L405 use shutters that are closed for dip and open up for main.. ... - .- -.

Further to me fitting the Amazon bulbs suggested by Phoenix.
was out last night, the difference is stunning. I have just to work ok the height, I wound them full down to get the idea, too low so up a bit to get it right. The technical method defeats me sadly. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

Right, that's it, I've finally pulled the trigger and ordered some Cool
I'm in France right now and Amazon.fr had a discount code & 80 euros seems just about OK.

Hopefully they work OK when driving on the right and don't dazzle others (too much)

Just be careful when fitting. Lights off. Ignition off. Otherwise lots of voltage. Other than that, it’s easy. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

Thanks for the advice - it's the installation of these that's been putting me off for so long. I have some free time and winter is coming, so based on the positive reviews I'm finally doing it.

They're just the light source, the optics (and shutter) in the headlamp assembly determine where the light is positioned on the road.
