United States 2009 Range Rover Autobiography 4.2 SC V8 Bournville
Bonnet (hood) replacement struts

Hi Everyone,

The gas struts on my '09 L322 are starting to lose their ability to hold up my hood (er, sorry. My bonnet Smile ).

Here in the US the OEM part is about $59 USD each! YIKES! I did some research and found the OEM part for about $27 USD for the pair with shipping!

If I was correct, the German company, Stabilus, makes the struts for Land Rover.

The OEM part number for my RR is BKK760010. The Stabilus part number is 115208.

I ordered them yesterday and hopefully will get them sometime next week (being shipped UPS across the country).

Yes, Stabilus was the OE supplier - manufactured in Germany.

Let us know how you get on. Aftermarket brands often don't last very long from my experience !

It would be good to have access to the correct Stabilus parts. Paul,
