Selecting drive - feels like stick has not moved far enough | |
As the title says, it doesn't drop out of gear but just doesn't feel that its safely in position.
I am suspecting that the bushes etc at the gearbox end of the shift cable have seized.
But the gear lever feels very solid ie no flex in its movement rearwards so could it be the gear lever itself?
The car has been standing a while but when I parked up it was fine, but when I took it for its MOT I found the fault.
Search didn't find anything for me but more than happy to be redirected.
