Engine Cover Mount Stud torque?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been searching through the service manuals and on Google to find the torque spec for the appearance cover mounting stud for my ’09 SC Range Rover.

Engine Cover Mount Stud part number KKN500051. Reference numbers 3 and 4 in this image.

The nut to hold the cover on is torqued to 5 Nm but I can’t find anything about the stud itself.

Does anyone have any info on this? I’d hate to over or under torque it.

Thanks!

A member of my local Land Rover group said, in his opinion, 10 Nm would be about right. I took his suggestion and it's now all back together and I managed to not strip any threads!

I am tempted to say, for this non mission critical stud, tight enough will be good enough.... .
