Impact of different sized wheels on warranty

I'm trying to get some new wheels with winter tyres ready for later in the year. From what I've learned here going for smaller wheels will make a difference in the snow.

My car came with 20" as standard (07 reg s/c) but I believe 19" will fit. Were these an option when the car was new?

Do any of you know if it'll affect the warranty if I put 19s on (I'll make sure they're OE wheels with 255/55 tyres - I think that's the right size). I know I'll need to tell the insurers but it's voiding the warranty that I'm worried about

Thanks in advance,

If they are a Land Rover approved wheel (original or accessory fit) then your warranty will be safe.

I could imagine you having 19" on the front and 20" on the back.. would be strange Laughing

Thanks everyone, I'd rather stick to 20s but there's a huge price difference and also the (ever so slightly) smaller wheels are supposedly better in the snow - this is a big problem in Surrey Laughing '07 Supercharged in black with drug dealer tinted windows

when we had the snow last/this year my very wide 20'' coped easily, so your standard size 20'' will be ok..remember its the range's four wheel drive that does most of the work, not so much the size of tyres.

Check inside your manual in the tyre pressure section, it will probably have different size wheels, also there is a sticker in the door pillar area that has similar info. If it gives the options for different size wheels then you are covered as this implies suitability of use. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

I take it they were the new General Grabber AT and not the old AT2's ? How were they in the snow and Ice , I just fitted a set to my refurbished old 19" rims. 2008 MY Supercharged
