However I’m pretty sure the new FFRR have an all singing dancing system that means there is no need to do so.

The l460 has landrovers new security as does the sport and defender. They are supposed to be better protected against the remote signal hijacking’s that’s common on earlier models. Nothings full proof but I recall seeing some tests which ranked it top of class.

I’m finding insurers don’t seem to distinguish model years so all get tarnished with the same brush. I dont use a faraday pouch I’d ask them how it would impact your premium, they’re pretty cheap. MY23 PHEV HSE

The new keys go to sleep after 10 minutes and have to be physically moved to wake up, so whether in or out of a pouch can not be read. letters not necessarily in the right order

About time JLR did something to put the keys out of scanning reach...

They don’t go to sleep - post-2018 facelift, they use UWB technology, which means the usual method of relay theft doesn’t work (and, consequently, a Faraday pouch isn’t going to help).

Very interesting stuff...

A What Car test on various cars including a Discovery with the new tech, they couldn’t intercept and relay the fob signal. The Disco Sport tested without it was driven away in seconds.
