Engine Management Fault

I have an 'Engine Management Fault' show up on the dash, it goes off after a few moments but the performance is slightly restricted. No warning lights light up. It seems to after a certain driving time and is irrespective of driving style. It comes on while driving the lanes, towing my caravan at a set 50mph on cruise control and sometimes when I kick it to overtake something. It resets after cycling the ignition.
It's an'07 TDV8 3.6

We need codes to make any diagnosis. A generic code reader may help but any competent garage should be able to do this for you. Best still is to get yourself a GAP IID tool and DIY. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Not unless you ask them but they should reset the service interval so will at some point plug in a diagnostic tool. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Fuel pressure too high would suggest the high pressure fuel pump being an issue or a faulty injector (or two) and may explain the problem occurring under load or randomly.

I would have thought the garage should be suggesting testing the pressure from the HP pump first and then secondly, a leak off test as the next steps. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

All sorted, looks like the PCU? had a brain fart and threw up the code. Battery disconnected overnight fault gone, put 100 miles on it this morning round the doors and lanes and a motorway jaunt no problems. Fingers crossed.

And back in the room, all good for a few days and the fault re-appears, took it to a local LR Specialist and he used his super dooper computer and reckons the probable fault is the EGR valves all caked up and sticky (a bit like meself!) they're going to do an EGR delete and re-map and he reckons that will do the job. Fingers crossed.
