2008 L322 4.2 Supercharged -FUEL CONTROL MODULE

Hi , was wondering is the Fuel Control Module on the 4.2 sc coded to the system or could a used part be substituted for testing - as i dont want to corrupt systems on the car . Range Rover Overfinch Vogue SE 4.2 Supercharged.
