Connector to charge via towing socket, not CTEK

Hello team

I can't find those charger things that used to be for sale,
could anyone point me in the right direction?

Also I don't yet have a CTEK, just a crappy but never-let-me-down slow charger with alligator clips so ideally I could connect that up...

. Cheers, Greg

Just make one up …buy the trailer end of the socket that plugs into your FF then wire up the live terminal and the earth, there are lots of wiring diagrams to show which should be the permanent live on your car. I presume you have a 13 pin socket? Then other ends onto a block of would clearly marking which is positive and which is negative so you can connect your crocodile clips. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

Greg,
I have found my permanently wired CTEK socket to the rear fusebox to be just as handy to use and a cheaper solution.
Just buy a CTEK socket to 6mm eyelets lead and extend it if you want to plug the charger in outside the car.

Thanks for that @Mike; I was wondering if that worked on the 4.4 because of the battery management system. On mine I’m planning to route the CTEK connector externally so that I can charge/recover the battery if it runs too flat to unlock.

I’m guessing there’s an earth post just to the right of the fuse board adjacent to the rear lights? TDV8 4.4 2012

Earth connection is easy to a convenient 10mm nut/ stud , perfect for the 6mm eyelet.
