Hi ALL,

I have a troublesome problem with the near side rear door reporting as open when it is closed. Internal lights stay on and the car won't lock as it detects a door is open.

It initially happened when the front seat cooler was enabled ( maybe coincidental ) and happens randomly every day or so.

Another strange thing is that when the door open message appears. If I walk outside the car with the key and the engine running, with a passenger inside the car and the warning message comes on the dashboard when key is outside the car the door open message disappears and everything is once again ok ( again this may be coincidental ).

The car has been in to a local independent garage and has had a door actuator replacement but unfortunately for me it hasn't resolved the issue.

As this problem happens randomly and not when the garage has the car they say can't diagnose the problem and therefore can't find the cause .. understandable

Any help would be very much appreciated
