How the hell did she do this

Saw this clip of a car crash on the news, from the USA ( where else !!! )

Although badly injured the driver survived the crash, only god knows what the hell she was doing, the weirdest crash I have ever seen, and this time it's real, not staged, as the police were already on scene for an incident on the other carriageway. Maybe she was looking at her phone
