Given that your shocks are 13 years old, I'd probably be replacing those as well as the bags as complete units.

If you’re doing them yourself Andy, give the bottom bolts a good soaking with penetrating oil. They can be a sod to get out. John

We've got an Ingersol Rang impact wrench that runs on the compressor and is rated to 1830nm of torque. With an impact socket on the head of the bolt working it backwards and forwards, it still didn't budge.

I gave up on mine, seized solid in the bore, took it to a garage in the end, they had similar difficulties, even with a borrowed bigger impact gun (wound right up) , little bit of anti seize on original assembly would have been a Godsend....
