L322 Light Control module - YWC000540 replacement

Afternoon All,

I've got a fault showing on the GAP diagnostics relating to the air suspension (0x57 air suspension active/inactive), but the fault is resident in the light control module.

I suspect that the LCM has got a bit damp in the past, but the fault doesnt go away if I try and clear it.

If I swap the LCM with another one, do they have to be coded to the car?

Theres a thread (on another forum) where someone suspects that it does, but I think they are relating to the BCM, not LCM as is the case here.

If it does, I dont suppose my new GAP tool can do this can it?!

Hi, did you get an answer to your post? My LCM is playing up, looking at a BMW replacement but not sure if it needs coding... doubt it but you never know?
