Help with my knobs!

Hi, looking for some help with fitting those aftermarket chrome armrest knobs, please:

I watched the Powerful video on YouTube, which helped a lot, however although the drivers’ side one functions perfectly, the other one is behaving oddly. The range of adjustment is too much towards the “up” setting, starting at about 45deg to the horizontal, and the arm runs out of adjustment before it gets even close to horizontal. If I forcibly turn the knob to try to get the armrest level or below, the knob just pops itself out of the little white clip inside, then falls off.
I had a look inside and there’s a circlip way back at the elbow end, which abuts the rear plate of the arm when fully raised, then moves forwards as the arm is adjusted downwards, but I can’t see any means of internal adjustment?
Appreciate any help if anyone has had similar troubles?
I’m thinking the rod with the flat on the end is supposed to slide into the inside of the knob as you adjust down, but must be fouling inside the (Chinese) knob? Embarassed

No obvious jokes please, keep it clean! Laughing “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Thanks Stan.

I got them fitted OK, but the issue seems to be the depth of insertion of the core rod seems to be about 4mm less than the originals, so the armrest “thinks” it’s much lower than it really is.
The difference is a LOT, I mean out by 30 degrees!

My fault for buying cheap Chinese sh*te, I guess, we live & learn.

I could mess about with a drill and take another few mm out of the bore, or just buy a set from Powerful UK, lesson learned. Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

My drivers armrest adjuster knob is stuck solid and will not adjust either way but will lift upwards from it's position.
How can I release the knob so it will turn and adjust ?

Any suggestions welcome. RR owner
