Potential in buying L322 tomorrow

Hi all,

Looking over and test driving MY12 L322 tomorrow 20th April. Paid for full history check. All good. 12 Months MOT with no advisories.

So if all as I hope with the service history and condition with the naked eye before / during / after test drive I guess its the awkward 'lets talk about the asking price versus my offer(s) if it gets to that.

What's your gut thoughts on this. I can be quite forthright and will not be bullied into buying if I don't feel 100% about everything, but we all like to feel as if we have saved at least a bit of beer money???

Your thoughts, as ever, are greatly appreciated,

S

there are always other cars if the deal isn't right, but the sight of a fella in front of a seller, who wants to buy, with a wad of cash in his hand often softens the most hardened of sellers.

Good luck. Thumbs Up First time FFRR owner

Dealer or private seller? With the former there is not much room for negotiation these days so don't expect to get it for a lower price and don't be put off if they don't budge on the price at all. If the price is fair and the car is OK then what's to negotiate exactly? If you are 'forthright' also don't expect a dealer to offer you any favours. With the supply of used cars still tight it's a sellers market still and they don't have to try to sell you anything let alone bully you. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Thanks JayGee

Dealer.

You and I have the same understanding I think. I can pay the full asking price and probably will if ALL the boxes are ticked but still slightly old fashioned and remember the days of a good old haggle session.

But realistically if it’s in nice condition ( my part ex. Which I am taking with me is mint and it’s a year older than the L322 ) I will probably just get it and enjoy the 50 miles trip home in it after nearly 4 months of looking.

Really looking forward to the experience tomorrow and let’s see what happens 😎😎😎
