there are always other cars if the deal isn't right, but the sight of a fella in front of a seller, who wants to buy, with a wad of cash in his hand often softens the most hardened of sellers.

Dealer or private seller? With the former there is not much room for negotiation these days so don't expect to get it for a lower price and don't be put off if they don't budge on the price at all. If the price is fair and the car is OK then what's to negotiate exactly? If you are 'forthright' also don't expect a dealer to offer you any favours. With the supply of used cars still tight it's a sellers market still and they don't have to try to sell you anything let alone bully you. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
