Hello all. Does my 16MY AB have in control apps? Ie can I download an app and see where my car is etc ? Or is that only on 17MY cars ?

InControl Apps was an option on the 2016, but standard on the AB so you should have it. You may need a sim card in the slot by the drivers knee - which will also give you incar wifi.

But I think the app you are thinking of, which is the one which shows the vehicle status and parked location is Incontrol Remote - certainly thats the one I have which shows the parked location, journey history,distance to empty, vehicle status etc and Tracker service.

For Incontrol Remote to work you need an Incontrol Protect account - if the dealer didn't set that up there is info on the Landrover website about how to do it.

Is there any way to get any more apps on the car screen.

There is a selection of apps on the LR Apps app which appear on the screen if you have them on the phone, but they are all a bit sketchy nothing of any interest really. So i have music, contacts and calendar apps plus The shell app which come up. Apart from those in the list on the app is there any other good ones which work with the system? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

those limited apps are all that LR has 'approved' so its a no....i did look on google for a hack that would let you load more apps but could'nt find anything.. ... - .- -.

Thought as much Stan. Have just plumbed in an old iPod so I can search music, unless I’m on a long journey I don’t tend to plug my phone in so the Incontrol doesn’t get used much anyway.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
