Topping up gearbox oil through cooler pipes in engine bay?

Has anyone done this? Do you need a special pump to do it?

I suppose that if you open the fill plug, do the same procedures as if you fill by that plug

You open the fill plug, leave the engine running and fill until it comes out.....

No way to do that with cooler pipes...!! Pete
