Hi - so I cleaned the socket contacts in the boot for amplifier and radio - which were corroded and wet -but the radio continues to be silent.
The computer display works fine and it displays FM, CD and Tape but none can be heard.

Has anyone solved this? Is it the radio module rather than the amplifier? What is the additional module attached to the radio?
I didn't know I'd miss the radio so much!

If the dsp has been wet you really need to take the unit out, take the casing off and check for corrosion on the pc board.
