Coolant Reservoir Replacement

Some time in the past there must have been an oil leak as the translucent tank is opaque !
I have purchased a new one so that I can see the coolant level.
But before tackling the job, is there any advice or pitfalls to avoid ?
There is a right angled connector at the lower outlet, how is this released ?

Any help much appreciated. Forty years of progress. 1972-2012

What brand did you buy? Mine needs a new one as the float hasn't floated for a while and one day when I haven't checked the level might actually be down.

Thanks Dr Rob. WOW - there's lots of stuff here. Now to learn how to navigate through it.

My trusted Indie fits lots of the pattern ones without problems and keep these in stock.
I know Britpart may not have the best reputation but seems solidly constructed and for £43 it is quite a saving.

Thanks Arbuckle. The price here for the genuine item makes a pattern one look a good choice.

Job Done.

New expansion reservoir fitted and hopefully, all trapped air pockets eliminated.
Sunny day at Easter made tinkering outside enjoyable.

What have I learned?
1) the air box needs a really strong tug to release from the rubber retainers;
2) don't drop the elbow retaining clip when refitting. Having to remove the undertray to retrieve same is annoying. Fiddlesticks, Poo, Rhubarb etc ! Forty years of progress. 1972-2012
