Put new boots on my 2010 L322, they are the BF Goodrich all terrain 275x55x20. Loving the look. Fronts are very close to the strut and the offside rear is close/slightly rubbing on diesel tank bulge but so far so good. Going on a longer drive tomorrow on the dreaded M25 so will see how it behaves.

Almost finished getting it how I want it.. going to change the side vents to body coloured shark fin style and wheels will be painted dark grey.

Use a heat gun to soften the plastic near the rear tyre then push it inwards.

I have the same tyre in 275 55 20 and they rub on full lock but not really bothered me. Let me know how you find yours on wet tarmac, I find them a bit slippery.

I don’t seem to have any rubbing on full lock. Haven’t tried access mode yet. I’m waiting to sort the fuel filler bulge first. Also drove it tonight in the rain with no issues. In fact the car seems much more planted. I’m running 36 psi all round after seeing comments on the forum. What are you running? Maybe that has something to do it…

space between wheel and airbag looks like asking for troubles.

That’s the bottom of the strut near the tyre. Not the airbag. From what I have read from others in the forum, this is normal and shouldn’t cause any problems.

As the tyre wears, the gap will only increase … it’ll be fine. I like the look ! V8 or else ...

but what happens when you do maximum axle cross and when wheel goes up?
When wheel goes 1 cm up, then bottom of the airbag goes just 0,5 cm so with maximum axle crossing it can damage bag with tyre

i agree it look better. I also consider bigger tyre profile.

If your front arches rub on lock, you can adjust the gap…simply remove the undertray, and you’ll see that the rubbed area is flexible, as it mounts to the undertray.. so redrill the fixings for the undertray and you can bias it away from contact area. Similarly, the fuel filler area can rub, so either cut it away a little, or with careful planning add a self tapper screw with washer to pull it in a little. Careful what you’re drilling into! Ie tank!

I'm going to attempt the heat gun option to push back the fuel filler bulge.

Are you guys never worried that the rims are not wide enough for these wide tyres?

A lot of gone before me and doesnt look to be any issues.
