Diff oil final clarification-differing info on here.

A few weeks ago I asked if my 2006 pre facelift had an electric rear diff. general consensus was that no, it did not, the facelift did have the electric rear diff.

Was just about to order a full oil change kit and came across this post

which says that ALL S/C do have the electric diff.

Does anyone know the exact situation?

Get underneath it and have a look

If it has no motor with associated control cable, you don't have an ediff.

Hi Philip,

My 2006 4.2 S/C does NOT have an electronic diff. I’m happy with that as there’s less to go wrong!

As John said. I have the same and no Electronic Diff on mine. Looked underneath for an electrical plug on it ... you'll know for sure then. No plug = no electronic rear diff. Gavin
