You're bang on there Cayman, we have two rescue Rottweilers and they are great dogs, fabulous with people and dogs, less so with cats squirrels and pigeons though First time FFRR owner

The previous rescue was a typical Ridgeback, the one we have now is nothing like any of the Ridgebacks we've ever had - we put it down to her being a lockdown dog and lacking socialisation with other dogs for her first two years, that, and being brought up in a house that had a constantly changing number of foster kids... She gets on fine with Ruby, despite the nine year age difference but she's still 'work in progress' with other dogs, not nasty, just shouty.
