If you raise your armrest a bit, the knobs should be easier to adjust. I you put pressure on the armrest my knobs won't turn either. |

Thanks but tried that. Won’t turn on either seat whether up, down, middle, pressure or not. And both seats, that seems bizarre. |

On the 322 arm rests are able to be raised (to aid fastening of seatbelts) without having to adjust screw. Previous cars:

there are a couple of youtube vids on people changing the adjusting knob for s chromed one, and you see how to separate the under covers and slip off the knob... maybe you can figure it out.
