I found this thread which if I’m reading correctly seems to suggest that the OEM tow bar electrics loom is different on 2007 TDV8 to the earlier TD6 models.

I’ve fitted a Westfalia eBay special which I’m fairly sure came off an earlier car but I think the loom is wired wrong for my year of vehicle. I’ve tried testing the pins (13 pin type) and it seems a bit all over the place.

Anyone know if the loom is indeed different on the two models?

From what I can work out it should fit models to 2009 but the link I referenced in the first post would suggest otherwise. A quick google of that part number brought up this - https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/y...1FD180115C

Bumping this again in the hope someone can assist.

To simplify the question: can someone with a TDV8 of circa 2007/2008 vintage tell what the part number is for their loom/control module (the white box of black magic that plugs into the car).
