Fixed 2 very annoying issues with my 2006 l322 this weekend.

1. Sunroof cover rattling. Very easy fix, just stick some cloth tape (I used tesa) underneath the front edge of where the cover slides to. Rattle is completely gone and cabin is a lot quieter.

2. Fitted beam wipers. Specifically, RainX Latitude Model: 810165. I used 22" but 26" would be a much better fit. I don't know if other models would work. To fit them, remove all the hardware from the wiper, and pry off the final plastic cover until you just have a little nub on both sides. Remove all the fittings from the wiper arm until its down to bare metal with a hole on each side. Now you can force the wiper nubs into the holes, and it will be on. I had to pry the wiper arm open a bit first, then clamp it down with vise grips once the wiper was installed.

It really can't be overstated how much of an improvement the beam wipers are to the conventional ones. I went from like 25% visibility in a snowstorm to 100% once I installed them. 2006 HSE 4.4 gasser
