Are they saying 18,000 cars was the first years production ?? !!
That's a whopping £540 million at an average £30K a car.
So that's about 1/4 of their apparent 2billion investment already Thumbs Up

£30k a car includes their cost of production and dealers cut though, I guess its the margin that counts.....

................. and as at 15:00 today:

'We are able to take orders for Evoque now. Currently we still have some allocation - most derivatives will be built in September for October delivery - front wheel drive and entry level ('Pure') specification will be built for December delivery.'

We're out of Si4 until Early next year but have slots for Oct for diesel. We're up to 103 orders at the moment but have ordered most of the cars that customers have spec'd up. 103 may sound like a lot but London dealers seem to be getting the biggest volume due in part to location, therefore it's all proportional. Approx 30% of customers are waiting until launch day before confirming their spec, therefore we expect another peak from early Sept. Now would probably be a good time to get an order in.

If anyone wants a Diesel for Oct build the give Matthew Gurney our Evoque Specialist a call.

James Thumbs Up

It's very clear why RR procured the services of VB for the launch, n'est-ce pas?! Great performance by her; perfect understanding of the brand and the 'niche' that is Evoque. What a performance - she clearly earned every cent of her fee for that epic contribution, and ummm, only 2 'ummms' in that brief appearance. Brilliant....

not! Whistle

Rolling with laughter

It's more a pity whatever it cost didn't go into getting LR products 100% reliable - to me that's a far better marketing campaign........................but I suppose image is everything to more people than most Big Cry

Blimey, I'm not even making any sense now Big Cry
