Centre console stowage box - what is the blank blanking?

Today I replaced the gas struts in the centre console stowage box tray & lid, there is a rectangular blank in the tray that looks like it should have a lamp there instead - it's item 422B88 in the screenshot below and fits in the rectangle in the bottom moulding of the tray below it.

Does anyone have a lamp or anything other than a blank fitted there? if so, is there a part number on it?
Just for curiosity.....

On the earlier face-lift cars there was a mobile phone connector for very specific Nokia phones. No light I'm afraid Paul,

I can confirm, as mine has exactly that & No Lamp.

That'd probably explain it - and the other odd mouldings between the two halves. It's probably the same or similar to the hardwired phone kit in the L319/320's.

A light would be useful though, I might just mount something in the blank with a tilt switch to control it...

I managed to find a 'warm white' capstan panel light, mounted it on the blanking plate, along with a tilt switch which is held at an approximately 45 degree angle with a liberal amount of hot melt adhesive, the wiring has some adhesive lined heatshrink sleeving to protect it where it goes over the lid pivot bar, I've connected it to the centre console rear power sockets with a 3A fuse.

I'm happy with it, it's not overly bright so won't be a distraction if the passengers open it at night.
