Last time I suggested a 'ride in the boot area' she wasn't very happy Turns out she did not know what a split tailgate was for |

If you can't see any movement of the tailgate / lock, check that the spoiler has not become loose. |

Let us know if you find the fix, mine rattles and I still need to sort it out as I cannot see anything obvious that is loose. 07 4.2 Supercharged

i had this a couple of weeks back when you shut the upper tailgate you could get hold of it and lift it up slightly when in the shut lock position found out that the locking pin in the lower tailgate the hole plate was loose and moving around so needed to tighten up the 2 bolts that hold the hole plate in place. there are 2 Torx bolts. but you have to make up a tool to get to them as the gap is very small to get in and get them done up once done upper tailgate was being held firm again and no more rattles. new vehicle purchase
