Scotland 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Rear Ride Height Sensor Bracket

Hi all bit of an issue with my 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue SE

My NSR Ride Height Sensor Bracket has broken / rusted off and is now flapping about like a flag in the wind.
So of course this has caused the suspension to have a melt down.
Down on the bumps at the rear and super high at the front.

Had to be recovered last night (Don't get me started on the RAC Censored )

Tried to order the bracket (Part Number LR010831) this morning but told its Discontinued / Obsolete with Land Rover.

Anyone any idea where to get discontinued parts ?

Cheers Barry

Get a fabricator to make one - as long as the holes are in the correct place to fit to the subframe & the sensor, it doesn't have to be that accurate. Obviously you'll need to recalibrate the suspension height but you'd need to do that anyway.

If you can give them the remains & the height sensor, it shouldn't take more than an hour to knock one up - it'll take longer to clean & paint it!.

Think I may have to get one manufactured.

Working Nights this weekend so will need to be next week to get under it and take it apart and get the old bit off.

Thanks

TBH, depending on where it has broken, you could probably cable-tie it in a position which would give a good approximation of suspension height, it doesn't have to be exact to be drivable. I made a replacement for a broken linkage out of fence wire (I don't think the farmer gave explicit permission, in my defence, the gate was missing so the wire fence was pointless), it got my mate home from Wales to North Yorkshire without any dramas, even though it sagged a bit on some corners.

Obviously not a permanent fix, it should keep you driving though.
