Looking at the third episode, it’s started looking up a bit. It’s certainly more complex and much more gritty than previous Star Trek series. |

The first two had great special effects, but only a small number of tiny sets. Ep 3 was so dark I don’t think there were any sets. It’s starting to make 1960s Doctor Who look lush and expensive. |
