Thanks - had a search through and found a bit of info. Just ordered a kit for changing Vauxhall Vectra rear rose buses - apparantly there the same size as the Range Rover bushes and its a doddle with the tool.Found a 'How-to' on the Vauxhall site with descriptions and photo's - looks a breeze Well come the weekend and we shall see ! |

I'm still hoping my old Ford Cortina void bush tool will come in handy, reading your post, it may well be of use! |

Lots of info in RAVE on changing bushes. I've got some squeaks too, which is why I've been looking! Haven't got as far as working out which ones need doing yet though. |

Anyway I have ordered the tool as mentioned in my previous post and have a complete range of tools including sockets , washers and threaded bar ! The advantage of being a multiskilled engineer

My Indy says bushes can be so tricky they prefer to just replace the whole arm...(Cheaper in long run)

Can't see why this is the case. There is an official land rover tool for bush removal and therefore it's a recognised procedure to extract and replace. I reckon they just can't be bothered because they just pass the entire cost onto the customer. |

Be interesting to see how you get on. Harris Mayes rarely try to avoid a job as they are very efficient and good value. On a D3 the Lower Arm and Bushes is £120 a pair and only minutes to fit compared with removing the bushes.... |

Actually I just realized something - you are talking about a different bush. This thread refers to the top and bottom bushes on the hub upright, not the arm. Bushes are just under £90 at trade price for the 4 bushes and 2 circlips to do both sides. |
