Outstanding Recall for 2014/5 MY

Checked the date my MOT expires on the gov website and there is a note saying ‘Outstanding Recall - since 16 December 2022. Contact local Land Rover dealer’. Contacted dealer asking for more information. They checked their records and said there is currently no recall showing on their system. They will check again when I take the car in for service / MOT on 10th January.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to ‘show on the Dealer system’?

Does anyone with a 2014/15 car also have the recall or know what it relates to?

Many thanks and a Happy Christmas to you all. You can't swim uphill in custard all the time, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

I've got the same response from Stratstones about mine, they said no recall on their system, "probably an old recall that hasn't been updated" Rolling Eyes

Mikey very kindly checked my VIN and confirmed no outstanding recall.

I will ask the dealer again when I take the car in on 10th January for its service and MOT. You can't swim uphill in custard all the time, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

The plot thickens!

I spoke to LR Customer Services (0370 5000 500) on 3rd January. They maintain there is nothing showing on their Topix system but will email me a letter confirming this so I can forward to DVSA. This is despite me saying to them the MOT website says ‘contact manufacturer as DVLA are unable to change recall status’.

This morning I checked the MOT website and the outstanding recall date is now showing as ‘4th January 2023’ whereas originally it was ‘16th December 2022’

I have replied to LRCS email asking them to investigate further and liaise with DVSA. Also attached 2 screenshots showing the different dates on the MOT website.

I will update this post when I receive a reply from LRCS. You can't swim uphill in custard all the time, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

I've just checked and mine has done the same - it does seem to be a very specific type of car that it relates to, a mate with a 2013 model hasn't got it.
I hope it's a problem with the paint used on Causeway grey, perhaps they've discovered that the pigments break down after 8 years to create radioactive elements and they are inviting us in to swap our cars for a new L460?

Cass / Perce

You may wish to give LRCS a call ( 0370 5000 500 ) to add weight to the issue in the hope it will encourage them to investigate when they realise multiple vehicles are affected. The case ref number they gave me is: 268821381.

Mine also has the recall flagged ”The vehicle has been recalled since at least 4th January 2023”.

It’s an MY15 5.0 SC registered March 2015.

Keen to confirm what it relates to - any luck and LR have been forced by DVSA into replacing the failing front suspension hubs identified across a specific VIN range & arguably a critical safety component…
